[ Brand Identity ]

Tres Amigos is an Amsterdam based contemporary Tex-Mex fast food restaurant that started with three childhood friends with a shared passion for cooking and a deep love for Mexican cuisine.

We were asked for a brand refresh. Tres Amigos started their business first and built the brand afterward, so we had a foundation to work with. The owners wanted to combine a serious yet strong identity, and wanted something they could continue to build upon later. Inspired by the flavours of their restaurant and their story as a starting point, we developed an identity rooted in taste and sight, from drawing on their ingredients for the colour palette, to paying homage to the three friends in the brand logo, to keeping the sombrero from their original logo so the brand stays recognisable to its community.
