BRUIS

[ Brand Identity, Digital, Graphic Design ]

How do you launch an initiative in a neighbourhood where years of broken promises have created deep scepticism towards institutions, organisations and even one another?

A brand meant to be carried by the community cannot be created for its residents. It has to be built with them, through trust, warm connections and promises that can genuinely be kept.

WHAT WE DID

Instead of relying on traditional marketing and design methods, we organised interactive sessions, workshops and real-life tests. Using our sensory storytelling approach, we designed through different senses, perspectives and contexts -
not just data or visuals.

Together with:

  • 30+ local residents

  • 8 creatives

  • 60+ tests

  • Across 4 weeks

We developed a complete brand identity, communication materials and website.

Because residents could recognise their own input in the final result, the identity quickly felt familiar to both the community and the client. By the time of the official launch, many residents already knew the brand. Rather than introducing something unfamiliar, we had already started building a warm relationship between the initiative and the neighbourhood.
